The What.

After Eight makes it easy to discover, support and shop socially-responsible designer fashion with carefully curated drops designed to better your wardrobe.

The Who.

With a passion for fashion and a background in communications and marketing across small and big business, Emma started After Eight as a platform for women to learn and shop the best of sustainability and style.

The mission of After Eight is to slow things down -  evolving our shopping habits, asking curious questions and bettering wardrobes alongside our incredible community of people like you.

The Why.

The fashion industry has a serious footprint and it’s one we can no longer ignore. After Eight is committed to sharing and celebrating the innovative practices and people that protect the wellbeing of the environment, the worker, and the wearer – you.

The Story of The Name

After Eight signals the perfect time to slow down and top up on a world of good; conversing and consuming in considered, not careless, fashion.

The How.

We make it easy for you to make wise decisions, for your wardrobe and our world. How? We believe knowing how your clothes are made is as important as how to wear them. We carefully select brands based on clear sustainability criteria that you’ll see with every item, so you can shop our conscious collection with a clear conscience.

Reducing Waste

Whether the products are made from finely-edited dead stock, recycled fibre or creatively upcycled, this value is about celebrating brands that design with longevity and circularity in mind – including when it comes to their packaging.

Locally Made

Discover the brands that partner with local businesses who have similar values of fair trade and ensuring that ethical practices are embraced within the production process and supply chain. Their purpose and products are intimately connected to the place and people behind them.

Fair Trade and Fairly Paid

When it comes to sustainability, paying people at a living wage is non-negotiable. These brands ensure ethical practices are embraced; the makers are paid fairly (a living wage) and provided safe working conditions. You won’t find these brands exploiting their workers!

Considered Process and Materials

A considered approach to each step of the garment process – from how they’re made to the social and environmental impact of the sourcing and production. This value supports brands
that source materials cultivated in a way that takes into account the welfare of people and the planet. Everything from fabrication to packaging has been thoughtfully chosen.

The Impact.

After Eight joined 1% For The Planet, pledging to donate 1% of our annual sales to support non-profit organisations focussed on the wellbeing of the environment.
