Post Lockdown Looks You Need Now.

Post Lockdown Looks You Need Now.

Fold up the tracksuits and dust off your favourite dress or ‘going out’ top; the end of lockdown is in sight.

And among the excitement of seeing family again and choosing which of your favourite venues to visit first, there’s the other question: what do I wear?

If you feel a bit rusty about dressing in or shopping for ‘proper’ clothes, you’re not alone. For many of us, we’re a bit like caterpillars (extra hair, anyone?), emerging out of our cocoon a little unsure and unsteady. But the transformation into a (social) butterfly is here - and made easier with our edit of the post lockdown looks you need now.

Option 1: Back in black.

There’s a reason black remains a timeless classic. A fail-safe combination anytime and particularly for post-lockdown, an all black ensemble will take you anywhere. And there’s plenty of options in this category, too. An LBD is an instant party hit, while a dressy top and trouser combination exudes an air of elegance. Gold jewellery adds the perfect finishing touch.

Our pick:  Bare the legs in the Wynn Hamlyn William Twig Mini Dress that’s always ready for a good time. Or keep it equally effortless in the Auturk Off Shoulder Blouse and Esse Gathered Pant in Black.

Option 2: Keep it light.

Cream, white and ivory always feel fresh as the weather gets warmer. Premium fabrics feel elevated and sophisticated, while breathable options like linen and cotton offer casual elegance. Go all white with a dress or blazer, top and trouser ensemble, or break it up with a pop of colour.

Our pick: The Matin Cowl Neck Silk Dress does all the work for you. The ESSE Collarless Blazer offers endless outfit combinations, including pairing perfectly with the Tailored Trouser and bright orange Anna Quan Lana Shirt.

Option 3: Bring on the colour.

It is something to celebrate, after all. The latest spring/summer block colour trend elicits immediate happiness, making it perfect for coming out of lockdown gatherings, picnics and parties. Take your pick of the bold and bright colours, or tone it down a fraction with dreamy pastel hues. Easy to dress up or down with heels, sandals or sneakers, play with accessories to mix it up each wear.

Our picks: The rusty red hue of the flowing Matin Button Up Silk Red Dress, the alluring blue ocean-coloured Marseille Dress from Bondi Born, or the delicious silky peach style of the [insert dress details].
