AFTER EIGHT CONSIDERED: EPISODE 09: Your Sustainable Basics
Where do you start with making your wardrobe more sustainable?
In our latest CONSIDERED episode, we go back to basics to show you how to build a sustainable wardrobe from the beginning, starting with the six foundational pieces that will make your wardrobe work for you.
Denim. A no-brainer. If you don’t like jeans, then look for a pair of trousers that you can just as easily pull out and throw on when you have just five minutes to get ready. The Frame Stretch Flares are a great non-denim option.
White shirt. Whether button up or crop, it’s a piece that elevates an outfit, making you look sharp and ultra chic.
Basic tops. The missing pieces that tie your looks together - think a white or black t-shirt or even a beige tank. We recommend investing in beautiful quality options like 100% cotton. These are the pieces that will work really hard for you.
A great knit. A beautiful layering piece you’ll get plenty of wear out of, we offer wool, cashmere and recycled polyester options.
Blazer or trench. Choose either or both. We wear ours everyday and can dress it up or keep it casual. For the perfect ruched sleeves, simply use an elastic brand. Genius!
- Black dress. A favourite that will go with anything and everything, we’ve got plenty of styles to suit your aesthetic.
If you’re starting your sustainable fashion journey, these are the pieces we recommend starting with. When you buy once and buy well - our motto at After Eight - you’ll never be left with nothing to wear.
